Art and Heritage

ART AND CRAFTS WITH CHILDREN
If you are available between 3.30pm and 4.30 pm on weekdays you could help with art and craft activities at an after school club.  These take place in most primary and junior schools and we can find a placement to suit your needs.  We sometimes have these available on weekends and during school holidays.

LOCAL DRAMA GROUPS
We can put you in touch with groups such as Amateur Operatic, Variety Companies and local theatres who need help with backstage activities as well as opportunities to get involved in local productions.

LOCAL BANDS
V’s can count hours for participating in musical activities such as Brass and Silver Bands, College Bands and Music Groups.  If you don’t already belong to these then we can point you in the right direction to join.

EXPLORING DANCE WORKSHOPS
These are dance workshops and courses for adults and young people with learning disabilities.  They introduce students with little or not experience to the creative possibilities of dance and movement. Volunteers are needed to provide general assistance.

FOOTBALL COACHES AND TRAINING
We often need volunteers to help with under 14’s football teams.  You don’t have to be a trained coach as we can provide training.

HELP AT SWIMMING CLUBS
IF your passion is swimming then we can often find placements where you can help at local swimming clubs.

MILL STEWARDS AT FOUNTAINS ABBEY
