Volunteer

How Do I become a Volunteer

You have already made the first step by looking at our web-site!  We will try to ensure that you find volunteering a rewarding experience by providing information and support to enable you to make an informed choice of the type of volunteering you wish to do.

We offer all potential volunteers the opportunity for a face to face interview and have confidential interviewing space available.  We will need to take some basic details from you but will ensure these are kept confidential. This information can be provided by completing the registration form at www.do-it.org.uk or by filling in the contact form from this website.  We do encourage volunteers to share relevant information with the organisation you wish to volunteer with.

For some voluntary work you may need to provide references and have a Criminal Records check.  We will provide information on this procedure but it is the organisation you decide to volunteer with who has the responsibility to do this.  Occasionally some people find they do not settle into their new role, if this happens then please contact us again so we can find another volunteering role for you.

We look forward to hearing from you soon.
