Carer’s Respite Sitting Service
We provide a volunteer to sit with a cared for relative to allow the carer to take a short break.
The time and date for visits are negotiated between the carer and the volunteer, although they usually average between 1 to 3 hours per week.
Personal home visit assessments are carried out by the Project Co-ordinator for all prospective clients to ensure that the volunteer and the client are suitably matched. All volunteers have to provide references and undergo a Criminal Records Bureau Check.
